fan,s chelsea club

An Open Letter to Chelsea Can someone explain something to me. On Saturday during that charged Stamford Bridge encounter between Chelsea and Manchester City a section of the Blues support appear to be booing Wayne Bridge, why?
Given that the England full back, or should that be former England full back, had represented the west London club and only left when he had no chance of getting regular first team football and had appeared to have represented Chelsea pretty damn well when he was picked, one would have expected that he would’ve gotten a better reception from everyone at Stamford Bridge, but he was consistently booed, albeit a minority, by some of the home fans.
Now given that he was the only real victim in the whole John Terry and Vanessa Perroncel affair and had conducted himself in a very restrained and measured way I see no reason why he was getting such a hard time. If he was being booed for not shaking hands with the Chelsea skipper, well that is just idiotic. If my friend has slept with my girlfriend behind my back I wouldn’t be too keen on shaking his hand and in many ways JT should be thankful Bridge didn’t swing a punch at the England defender.
So why was he being attacked by his former club’s fans?
That being said it was good to see that a great many Chelsea fans applauded the Manchester City man when he was subbed and those supporters have my utmost respect. They can clearly see that Wayne deserved at the very least the respect of his former fans and I am sure that Bridge was grateful for the behaviour of those particular fans.
Its not like booing Wayne Bridge helped stifle the left back as he had a pretty good game and helped the away side inflict a rare home defeat at Stamford Bridge.
